Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome Back to School!
We hope you all had a wonderful summer holiday. We are very excited to welcome our pupils back for the new academic year. The staff have been working incredibly hard over the break to prepare, and we have a fantastic year of learning and enrichment planned for the children.
As we start the new term, we hope the following information is helpful.
- Monday 7th September (3:00 PM – 3:30 PM): School remains closed but will open for classroom drop-ins. Parents and children are warmly invited to pop into school, see the new classrooms, and pass any important information directly to the class teachers.
- Tuesday 8th September (8:40 - 8.50 AM): School officially reopens for the new term. Please ensure children in Year 2 upwards bring their full PE kits to school on this day so they are ready for the first week of lessons. Nursery, Reception and Year One pupils will not need these this week.
- Friday 11th September: Class newsletters (containing housekeeping info) and learning letters (outlining the term's curriculum) will be uploaded to the individual class pages.
- Monday 14th September: Diary dates for the entire academic year will be added to the school website.
Staff Communication
Class teachers will be available at the start and end of each day for quick questions. For longer queries or non-urgent matters, please send an email to the main school admin address - admin@west-tanfield.n-yorks.sch.uk. If your message is strictly confidential, you may email the teacher directly.
Arbor log in
Just a reminder to log in and check all the details on your Arbor account to ensure these are correct, especially contact details, medical details, dietary requirements and consents. All meals and clubs are now bookable through this system. Any problems at all, please contact the school office who will be happy to help.
